The Hanged Man represents a time of waiting and suspension.
The Hanged Man, when pulled upright, means that there is a period of waiting. Like how he is hanged upside down, you may be in a time of suspension. However, these periods of waiting and suspension will eventually move you forward.
When in these times of suspension, make calculated decisions about how you will move forward. The Hanged Man understands these periods are necessary for forward movement.
When reversed, the Hanged Man means you feel as if you have been in a period of waiting for too long and are not receiving any forward movement whatsoever. It means you feel as if you have sacrificed too much for too long without receiving anything in return. Perhaps you have given up too much of your time for nothing to be given back to you. Be patient, as things will cycle back around.
The Hanged Man is asking you to make a sacrifice for eventual forward movement toward your goals and what you wish to achieve.
